Inserting the SIM

If you wanted a Pay As You Go Sim card it is enclosed in the brown envelope along with a network guide. Also in the brown envelope is a copy of your invoice.
Programming the Five Numbers into the Sim card
You need to program in the five numbers that the Doro HandlePlus Mobile Phone will call from its 5 Big buttons. To do this you need to put the SIM card into a regular mobile phone.

You store the phone numbers as normal, but you need to add the number 1,2,3,4,5 at the front of the name. Then save these five numbers into the SIM Phonebook. For example you could input "1SON" and save the appropriate Number for the first number. For position 2 you would save as "2DAUGHTER" and save the phone number.

Once you have stored all five numbers you can then put the SIM into the Doro HandlePlus. Note The Doro HandlePlus will not be able to call the desired numbers if they have not been stored as described above, please ensure you have stored 1-5 in front of the name.

Once you have opened your box remove the back off of the phone. You can now insert your SIM card into the small plastic holder and push it in. ( You can use your existing SIM card or the enclosed new SIM card, if you have chosen to have one).

Now you can put the battery into the phone and replace the back plastic cover. Then press and hold the red power button on the front of the phone for a few seconds, you will hear a welcome tone.

We would suggest reading the user manual to enable you to get the most from your new phone. The Green button is used to answer calls and if you wish to switch it to loudspeaker during a call you just need to press the green call button again.
